Willie "The Bam" Johnson the Power of the Martial Arts to Make Changes in a Person's Life.

This blog post was written by Grandmaster Jessie Bowen.

My blog post this week is about a young man that used martial arts to change his life. That young man is Willie “the BAM” Johnson. As a martial artist, I pride myself in sharing and mentoring other young and upcoming martial artists to understand how to use martial arts to empower their minds and change their lives. There is a belief in our society that bad people don’t change.

I’ve seen countless cases in my martial arts teaching over the past 40 years of how a little love, kindness, and a strong dose of expectation can impact a child or an adult life. This week’s podcast is a story of Willie “the BAM” Johnson, a young man who had a brush with the law and was incarcerated.

Today, Willie dedicates his life to kids through his books, videos, motivational training, and countless other things that Willie gives back to society. Yes, people do change, and as low as you may fall when you bounce, you will reach the Stars. God has given us the ability to become great teachers from the lessons that we’ve learned in our lives. Click the link below to check out the podcast; also check out Willie’s new book.
