Thank you for checking out my blog post. This week, we have a special guest talking about adding life coaching to a martial arts program. My guest is Mr. Kenneth Hill Jr., a martial artist living in New Jersey. Kenneth shares how becoming a certified life coach is changing his life and his martial arts business opportunities.
"I have been blessed with the opportunity to meet thousands of martial artists from around the world, and one of the questions I ask is why they started in martial arts? About 80% of the responders answer that they were picked on and wanted to learn how to fight back. Then I ask the question of why they are still involved in the martial arts. Most of the time, the answer is that they want to give back to the martial arts and help their students live better lives. Although everyone may have a different opinion of what a better life means, I believe it means being the very best version of yourself regardless of what you do.

I would recommend for martial artists who really want to empower others' lives and grow their martial arts program invest in a life coaching program and become certified as a coach. In truth, martial artists are life coaches. I have been a certified life coach for over 30 years. My focus is Sports Performance Training and Personal Development. I offer coaching classes to my students and their parents and host live and online seminars. About eight years ago, I landed the perfect job as a corporate educator for Duke Corporate Education in Durham, North Carolina.
My introductory to Duke CE was a board-breaking exhibition for a group of executives. However, soon they discovered my coaching skills about breaking through barriers and the board what a metaphor or breakthrough is. After learning that I was also a certified life coach and had written over ten books on personal development training, they invited me to become one of their corporate educators. This opportunity has allowed me to travel the world and work with companies, such as Nike, Raytheon, American Express, and other Fortune 500 companies.
It helps you grow when you decide to become an online coach. It will also do a great deal for your professional and personal growth. If you are an expert in your subject, there is always more to learn, and you will be committed to providing your clients with the most up-to-date and valuable information.
It is very satisfying to teach others what you know how to help them achieve their own goals. You need to be a good communicator, and as you perform more coaching, you will refine your communication skills. Dealing with all different kinds of people will open your mind and help you develop as a person.”
